Surprised nobody made a thread (or threads) about it (okay, okay...there's this one), but ey...I guess it's too big to go unnoticed. So probably a bit late, but...
Fox news media and Tucker Carlson part ways
Carlson was, of course, the controversial talk show host on Fox media, and the highest-rated single host on the fox network. Outside his fan base he is seen as a promoter of conspiracy theories and radical rhetoric and promoted white nationalist's agenda.
It's also a week after Fox settled the dominion case, paying them 787 million dollar. That most likely influenced the decision. Especially since his behavior off-screen showed he knew very well that some of the things he proclaimed on-screen were false (eg. Sidney Powell's claims about dominion). Still...what I thus far haven't heard is WHY it happened. Fox's own note about it is barely more than the news of their historic dominion settlement, and Carlson isn't adding context either.
Though I'm aware it's opening a can of worms...what's your take on all this?
