Hi, I'm a newbie in all this matter. I have an old 3ds Firm 4.2 and want to hack it to install Luma3DS. I have looked at the tutorials and in the process you need to update the console through the online. Is it possible to update the 3ds via online after the closure of nintendo servers?

Thank you.

Just start with the Guide and enter your current version. It will show you the appropriate method.

Online update should work normally after installing B9S.

Good luck and have fun!

Thank you. I will do so.

One question, do I have to configure the internet connection before installing Luma 3ds or can I do it afterwards? I say this because years ago they said that if you activate the internet connection, the 3ds was updated automatically. Can I then configure the connection after having hacked the console? I'm sorry, but it's been years since I've touched the console and I never connected it to the internet (in fact I have the wifi button off).

I mean what would you really need that fast for tho, 500mb streams 4k fine. 1gb should be fine for 8k eventually. That's what I just switched to Spermrum.
