Hacking Upgrading CFW

Here's the thing. Today I decided to dig up my Phat, running 5.00 M33-4. Not unsurprisingly, none of the newer games booted, so upgrading to the most recent CFW seems like the logical thing to do. So, what's the best way to upgrade with the lowest chance of bricking?
