For quite some time, I've only been able to surf via the phone (i.e. No DLs) so it's been a while since I've been able to grab new roms or update AKAIO. Over the holidays I got the chance to at relatives' homes. For unrelated reasons, I've only been able to put stuff on my card.
To upgrade from 1.5.1 to 1.8.1 by copying and pasting over the existing files (which always worked in the past) only when I start up my DSL, it freezes as the menu loads, before the files even load.
I'm mostly stupid in regards to computer stuff, but I noticed that the new "akmenu4.nds" file is smaller than the old (the new one is 550kb over 943kb) so if I go back with the old file, the system works, but any rom that requires >1.5.1 (e.g. ap etc) won't work.
So did I just get a corrupt dl, or what? Should I try to re-dl it, or not even bother and just jump straight to 1.8.5a?
