I'm trying to claim my warranty on a couple of things before the warranty finishes. What do you think are some common issues that might "accidentally" happen to my items just enough so I can claim said warranty?

Nokia phone (generic model)
Monster Beats Solo HD
Ninty DSi
Computer.
Usb cable

Etc.

I believe that the warranty is there as a grace period where near the end you should use to renew the item.

thanks for the feedback. XD

Yeah a kind of bad choice for a topic right? Anyways what's the real harm?

Better have a new one that breaks than and old one that broke.

.... Came out wrong.

Warranty does not exist to cover accidents. That is insurance. Warranty is for manufacturing defects that take some time to show up, such as overheating issues without tampering, materials that fail earlier than advertised etc.

Well. You can start by bricking your Nintendo DSi by saying it suddenly stop working. The usb cable? Try to get one of those threads inside the rubber to be cut, and then say its defect. Computer will be hard, but the easiest will most likely to go for the power generator or what you call it in english. Right im not telling you how to do it but just how you can do it. If you can make the sound stop working on the phone, then you got urself another defect there for warranty. And wtf is Monster Beats Solo HD?

Well its a DIRTY trick, but I've done it for my DS lite and it works for DSi too. I tell them the L/R buttons don't work, send it in, and they send a new one back. I don't really advise doing this, because its morally wrong Its a multibillion dollar company, the shit do I care?

. Anyway just claim the L/R buttons broke, anything after that is a fixed/brand new DSi with another year of warranty.

With your DSi, claim that the L/R buttons are functioning erratically (don't say that they're flat-out broken because they can test it at the factory, although I doubt they'll bother). I've done this a number of times with my DSi and DS Lite and it worked fine. I was sent a new one free-of-charge.

And to all those preaching about how this is morally wrong, it's a multi-billion dollar corporation that certainly isn't affected by one guys effort to extend his warranty.

Edit: And Thesolcity said pretty much everything I just said. ):

Don't bother telling the internet hall monitors that. They don't care, lol.

Or you can show your maturity and just take care of them like a normal person. You take care of them, then they'll never break.

This. People need to take care of their possessions and not expect warranty to do the work.

Pathetic waste of a perfectly working item, as if the scrap heaps of the world weren't full enough already throwing something on there "just because" is ridiculous.

Besides don't think you'll get anything for free; many warranty claims make you pay the shipping fees.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
