I'd recommend Intermittent Fasting. Worked for my wife and myself. Got tired of always putting back on the weight to lose it. I have an "eating window" from 12pm to 6 or 7pm. Within in that, I make sure i eat the foods i need to (vegetables and protein).

Exercise: the ones that suck the most are most effective. Squats, Push-Ups, and Pull-Ups. You really don't need a gym membership. Just make sure you push yourself everyday.

I'm actually gonna do something kind of stupid. I bought 6 MREs (Meals Ready to Eat--used in the military) from my friend and I'm gonna eat them exclusively for 6 days. Basically, each one has 1,250 calories. I'm gonna ration them out and supplement them with vitamins.

I know it's not sustainable, but I still want to give it a shot. The calorie deficit may be enough to encourage me to lose those last 15 pounds.

My only goal really is to get into a regular exercise routine. Currently, it's all over the place, but that's from my own lack of discipline when it comes to exercise. My university has really good gym facilities open to all students that I should really make better use of.

I'm just going to say screw it and be open about my weight, I'm...currently >100 kg, not exactly proud about it at all, and I want to lose maybe 15 kg or so this year. Granted, my blood pressure and heart rate are actually pretty good in spite of this, last I checked, I was 115/75 with a rate of 68 bpm for my heart. It's very hard for me to keep control of my calorie intake and portion size. But, I know that if my mom can lose weight at 64, I can lose weight at 33.

I’m “skinny fat”, I guess. I have a pretty physical job and I like to run (but only go once a month maybe). I look the same as I did over 20 years ago in high school (my wife hates me for that 8]) I’ve been to the gym a few times. I eat anything I want and have never gained a pound. As I’m now starting my 40s I realize I should change my ways. Pretty regular check ups at the doctor say I’m all good. Not diabetic, cholesterol is good, blood pressure, everything checks out. Don’t if I should still worry, but I’m trying to eat better, but it’s so hard. I’ve pretty much cut out fast food and have never been a big fan of soda (I like water best). I quit drinking almost ten years ago (which was easier to stop than I thought).

Anyhow, changing my diet is hard, but I try to get less burgers, cheeses, and red meat. Chicken, veggies, and pastas I try to go with.

This is what I'm trying as well. It turns into more of one meal a day that's tasty but hits all the essentials. Any advice for sustaining this kind of lifestyle? I'm finding drinking a lot of tea is helping.

My current goal is to try to eat more vegetables and lean proteins. My dad eats like a picky 5 year old (little veggies, a ton of fruit), so it's hard to keep vegetables in the house before they go bad. It's also winter, which means green things ARE expensive.

I've been trying to cut down on carbs/do the low carb thing, but it's damn hard.

My exercise plan: weight lifting regimen 3X a week. And try to do more cardio. Exercise for me means that I have a better mood, but exercising during the winter is like..."Why?" because you are wearing layers of clothing.

Ideal weight, 185lb, I feel faster, lighter, not much impact on knees when I play soccer in my leagues.
currently at 195lb. With the weather getting better, time to start running outside again. Treadmills are hell.
