What's with the sketchy clone websites of GBATemp?

I again saw google search results of a website pretending to be GBATemp. It has certain posts stored on it and probably runs tempStyle 2 instead of 3.2.

What's the deal with these websites? What do they gain when they try to imitate GBATemp?

The clone website in question doesn't let you log in so it's not your login details.

At best they steal traffic (ad revenue), at worst they will additionally try phishing. So don't try to log in (or type nonsense instead of real account data).
