Got this r4 by accident while looking for a pokemon game, and before realize it's r4 flashcard(didn't know it have the micro sd) i made a software upgrade by choosing one of the options inside YSmenu(R4 Firmware Upgrade), i don't remember which version it used to be but now i'm facing some problems, both screens are not showiong properly, and i don't know if it is either original or fake r4 version, or which model it is.

Please, if anybody know which model it is, please let me know, and if there's a test i can run to check if it's fake without break the card i'd also appreciate.

Before the upgrade it used to show a japanese title and a strange image on 3ds home menu, and now it's showing Metroid Prime Hunters * DEMO VERSION *

It's obviously a DSTT clone. I suggest you not to try to make it compatible with higher 3ds versions (apart from installing the cfw luma on a 3ds) because updates tend to brick these clones; even official ones.
Do you have the latest ysmenu version for your card?

Make a backup of the SD and download ysmenu for it (http://gbatemp.net/threads/retrogamefan-updates-releases.267243/ for DSTT/i, remember to rename the TTMenu.dat to ill.il).

No ideia of what happen, but i downloaded and ran this tool https://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/?mode=desc&fileid=2988 on YSmenu, both screen got white (i think it has frozen) and i pressed the power button to restart, opened the game again and now everything seems normal again. I'll watch and wait to see if it's just temporary, i don't want to take any risk for now.

It's R4i Pocket(couldn't find a single pcb match on the internet but there is a file R4i.PK) which is a DSTTi clone appearently, checking tools says its chip is not supported, as expected, and the problem just returned, it gets normal sometimes but nothing permanent, i'll try these DSTTi clones firmware(the oldest or the most recent) to see if i can fix it, but what i wanted was to restore it to it's original state before i upgrade, any tips ?

Fixed the problem by renaming the file update.dat to R4i.PK(possibly generated when i booted the "firmware upgrade.nds" file) and removing the old R4i.PK.

Probably not useful no anyone 'cause it's very old and outdated, but if by any reason you're facing the same issue i was, i hope it helps you. Another solution is buying one of the new flashcards, but if you can't(just like me) you can start by trying what i mentioned.

Firmwares for flashcards: https://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/
