Be aware TC that even on devices like the Shield TV and Google Pixel C (both which use the Tegra X1 with higher clock speeds), they also throttle based on heat. Switch does not throttle down from its designated clockspeed. It will simply shut itself down once it reaches a certain temperature (around 69C I think, which takes a lot for it to do so, like covering the vents, taking out the fan, etc). If the clockspeeds were higher and the system throttled like those other platforms, then we'd see performance jumps all over the place, and imo core console developers would have a fit. A point of consoles is consistency so these devs know just what they're working with, unlike the mobile scene where these other X1 platforms come into play, aa the mobile scene ranges a lot because of other weaker devices they want to run their apps.
