I didn't believe that it was possible for this thread to go even more downhill...

Anyway, I agree with what people like Marcan are saying. This "group" has shown no concrete evidence/proof that this is actually a real hack. The fact that they are running it on a devkit (and apparently trying to conceal that fact) is highly suspicious. I would love to be proven wrong, but as of right now, I would have to say that all that they are attempting to do is troll people.

Look at the controller. The NFC unit is shaped differently. That and on the video, Crediar and other f0f developers identified it as fake.

As was stated above me, the NFC markers are shaped differently. Plus, in the video, they (apparently) attempt to hide the CAT-R reader on the controller with a towel, presumably to hide the fact that it is a devkit controller.

IMO, I think it's fake. It was from the Wii U development kit, and that was obvious. He had the top part of the GamePad covered with a towel. xD

Then again, we'll see if it's fact or crap later on.

True, but why the apparent attempt to conceal that fact? In my opinion, that sets off huge alarm bells as to the validity of this. Also, because they used a devkit gamepad, that means that the video doesn't prove in any way that they hacked the Wii U. Yes, it could be a retail Wii U, but there is no proof of that in that video, and the presence of a devkit gamepad doesn't help that case.

Personally, I'm leaning towards them being attention whores, and I think we (including myself) are just helping to feed their "ego." If it were up to me, I would personally close this thread until they release some kind of exploit, since that is what they claim they are going to do. If it's fake, I doubt this "group" will ever openly admit it. Again, I would love to be proven wrong on all of this, but with the evidence we have so far, it doesn't look good...

Extremely surprised that this thread isn't locked yet. There's basically 0% chance of this being real now.

I wouldn't say 0%.. more like 5%. For all those still clinging to the 5% I'll give you one more thing to hold on to... because, why not.
The gamepads in the images posted just prior to the video were black. I don't think dev kit gamepads come in black so it could have been a retail game pad.
As much as I'd like to be wrong, its still probably fake. Oh well, there's always next year...

OMG! Maybe they hacked the devkit, and now all the devkit will be able to run homebrew. O_O All the thousand wiiU devkit owners around the world will can play tetris full speed with the gamepad. Can´t wait to see this.

f0f have a lot of history in other scenes where they have completely opened up console's to Homebrew & such. These 4 horse men have come out the blue with no history in any scene at all, Claiming to have opened up the Wii U to homebrew, Only to be caught trying to conceal the fact they are using a Dev unit to run their Homebrew.

Im no Hacking wizard/god myself, But many reputable people here + people with actual history in console hacking have said that this is 99.9% fake because of the fact that it was done on a Dev unit + the fact that they tried to hide it from "Those that might be watching"... <<< Not Nintendo, But people in this scene that actually have a clue & know what to look for is who they were trying to hide it from.

While likely what you are saying is true, I keep having to repeat that there is no proof that they have used a devkit in that video. Just a gamepad. People like to forget the fact that a devkit gamepad can and will sync with a retail console.. Also, the first images, as mentioned previously, were shown on a black gamepad, apparently. TBH, I did not see those, so I can't comment on that either way.

However I tend to side with the skeptical side as well as it's more likely than not that it was run on a devkit but saying that and saying that it was, for sure, run on a devkit are 2 totally different things.
