Cheers Blue-K, you were correct in your assumption. When i originally downloaded wiiflow for testing purposes I download the 249 and the 222 version. I named the folders

/apps/wiiflow222
/apps/wiiflow249.

Just changed /apps/wiiflow222 to just /apps/wiiflow and now it works but only with the sd card inserted. I assumed that because it was a wad it would install it to the wii instead of just forwarding it to /apps/wiiflow.

UPDATE: My bad, just realised that the clue is in the title 'Wiiflow_NForwarder-WFXF-Channel.wad'

D'oh!

Thanks matey! Also thanks to djtaz for the link.

Hi,
I have the same problem. I tried your solution but the issue remains. Any other options?

Everyday i'm scanning the forums if somebody has found a solution. I'm considering to upgrade from 4.1E to 4.2 and do the softmod for 4.2. The only thing holding me back from doing this is the fact that everything is working fine only the forwarders. So first i still try to find the solution....

Here beneath is also a possible solution i found. I haven't try it yet.

In order:

a) Go to Homebrew channel and run Trucha Bug Restorer, load IOS36, press 1, read the warnings then select 'downgrade IOS15', select to load IOS from SD card then let it do its job, keep an eye on what it is doing and make sure you select 'load from sd card' when it asks & don't get any errors.
b) Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, this time select to load IOS15 on first screen using dpad left/right, then select the IOS36 menu & install patched (select 'yes' on all 3 patches) IOS36 to slot 36, again using IOS from SD card.
c) Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, load IOS36 and this time select restore IOS15.
d) Run cIOS38 r14 installer, select IOS36 as the one it should use and then select wad install.
e) If you are on system menu 4/4.1 use Wad Manager with default settings (IOS249 & SD card) to install IOS60-patched.wad - Never uninstall IOS60! You will brick!!
f) run Wad Manager 1.4, use default settings (IOS249 & SD card) and install these wads from the 'wad' folder:
IOS38-64-v3610
IOS50-64-v4889
IOS53-64-v5149
IOS55-64-v5149
Install the new 4.2 shop channel with Wad Manager
Install the Internet Channel

Then reinstall USB Loader GX Forwarder. I did not try the USB Loader Channel this time but the forwarder works great!
I think it was one of the IOS38/50/53/55 which was the problem.

So if anybody found the solution please let us know!

DUDE!!! that's the solution. It all works fine now!!!

The forwarder channel needs indeed the latest IOS35.wad to start.
I used NUSD_v13Beta to download the latest version of IOS35-64-v3349.wad

Now i have the WiiFlow Starnight Channel Forwarder-WSNF working!!!!!

First it tried to start the 222 version. I removed this one from the apps dir and it automatically starts up the 249 version.

MANY TNX PEPXL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok here is my problem, the other day I tried to download covers in WiiFlow. when it finished it restarted the channel and all my covers, titles, and themes were gone. I looked on the SD card and everything was still there so I cleared the Cache and deleted the wiiflow.ini put it back in the wii and and wii flow had all my themes and covers back. I just blew it off at first as if it was just a small glitch then I noticed my titles were still gone and, it was resorting back to the game title thats stored on the drive (WSP2 was the one that caught my eye) so I told it to download the titles, once again, after it was done all my covers, titles, and themes were gone. there is no FAT partition on my drive, and my SD card is being recognized by Hombrew channel and the Wii. it seems that Wiiflow just isn't recognizing my SD card at all. its an SDHC 8GB and I have the 4.2 firmware i dont know if that makes a difference or not....

this is a major headache for me I would greatly appreciate some help here! if I have to use a different SD card that would be fine with me

Hi guys. I changed wiiflow "metallic" theme to make it look like a Gamecube USB Loader (I use the theme with the WODE to load Gamecube games from a USD drive) and it looks fine. The point is that I can barely see the button lettters in the settings and I want them to be white (see the picture).
dsc00077vb.jpg

I know I have to edit the .ini file. I changed:
"[ GENERAL]
button_font=titlefont.ttf
button_font_color=#BFDFFFD0
button_font_line_height=20
button_font_size=20
button_texture_center=butcenter"
to
"[ GENERAL]
button_font=titlefont.ttf
button_font_color=#FFFFFFFF
button_font_line_height=20
button_font_size=20
button_texture_center=butcenter"
and made many other changes but it doesn't make any difference. Letters always look the same. Do you know what I have to change so that button letters change into white? Thanks in advance.

I use the latest R43 version (IOS 222 boot.dol) and I want to know if there is a way to change the default IOS for running games to IOS-223. The problem is that all the games in the 2nd WBFS partition on the USB HDD ran only if I switch the IOS from «DEFAULT» to «IOS-223» in the game settings. I want a way to set globaly the IOS to 223 for all games ... Please someone help !

i assume you dont have 222 installed with base 38, the default setup is 222 r4 base 38 amd 223 r4 base 38 erged with 37... Make sure you dont have them the other way around, and check out the new wiiflow thread next time...

    anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:

    still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

    It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
