I guess, if a NSMB backup runs from disc channel with this update and withour darkcorp it might be possible to use riivolution with it.

has anyone tried that yet?

Do you just burn this? Wii keeps saying it can't read the disc.

Cheers.
Are you burning it on a DVD?

Yeah, tried dvd-r and dvd-rw

That's strange

Maybe you have some hack installed that conflicts with GC mode. Do GC games work?

Wavebirds don't seem to work (at least mine didn't). Just use a wired controller or hit the reset button (reset button is the same as pressing 'A'). No directions as it's pretty straight forward. No need to pad it. Just burn to a DVD and load.

Seems to be a perfect release. All the bugs with the 1.9s release are fixed

1. Cube audio streaming fixed
2. Cube NTSC games play at 60Hz colour on PAL consoles again
3. 6x speed playback instead of 3x

Great release.

I just gotta burn it on DVD and Run via disc channel? Do I got it right?

I'm proud they released that update, running NSMB from disc-channel will be SMOOTH.

I haven't used my Wii in a long time so it's still in 3.4E.
Can I update it to the newest version after I've used the wiikey update without bricking it?

Wow, this is HUGE news for those who do not wish to softmod.

I seem to recall many nay sayers claiming they were SURE wiikey would never support wiikey 1, asking for boycotts etc. Wonder what those people have to say now?!

Hi,

Has anyone tried updating the Wii System Menu to 4.3e with a Wiikey 1.99 * BETA * and do backups work as they did in 4.2e ?

I want to try Metroid M but do not want to install the required updated IOS's manually with HBC via WADManager
I think an updated IOS 56 is needed but would prefer the 4.3 update which is on the disc take care of it without having to softmod my precious.

Kind Regards
Naresh

Didn't work for me. I put in the disc and it started like it was supposed to and I ran the TEST cycle, but when it was at 100 it came up a message that said "Error: test failed! check connections and try again". I have a pal Wii, Wii menu 4.3, wiikey chip 1 and I downloaded the pal file. Any idea what could go wrong? I have downloaded Homebrew before, but lost it due to a wii update and I have a NSMBW backup channel that doesn't work anymore, due to wii update too. Everytime I start a Gamecube game I get some backup channel message that dissapears whitin some seconds, I 've got no idea why it's coming up, it's been like that since I got the SNMBW backup channel... Any idea why it's not working?

EVer since I updated my WiiKey my wii refuses to read ANY Disc (Both retail and backup.) I'm forced to use USB Loader from now on which I don't mind, but it sucks for Gamecube games.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
