I hope one of the wiiSX devs will read this comment.

One of the best PSX games is Time Crisis, a light shooter. I would like to bring to your attention, that the game emulates perfectly from my game play. I also know a way how to play this game using the IR as a light gun. You see, Time Crisis has it programmed that the cursor can be moved around, not just with the light gun, but an alternate method using the D-Pad (D-Up, D-Down, D-Left, D-Right). The devs of WiiSX implemented the left and right analog sticks of the original playstation controller to be mapped to the wii nunchuk and wii remote IR. The dev needs to remap the buttons. Please allow for the playstation D-Pad be mapped to the wii remote IR. This will allow for full light gun game play for time crisis as well as other shooters. Can a dev remap this button for me?

Thank you.

The problem with that is that the dpad is digital where as the IR is like analog, the amount of time you held down the dpad directional buttons affected how quickly the cursor / sight would be positioned to the opposite side of the screen, if you where to use the IR on the Wii remote something would needed to be done to stop registering small movements as indvidual rapid / autofire dpad directional button hits, it'd probably be easier to emulate the psx mouse cursor via the analog stick for the light gun games that supported it, but the only one I remember supporting it was Die Hard Trilogy 1 & 2.

Probably is the case. I will just use my current map settings as they are. I am using the playstation D-Pad (D-Up, D-Down, D-Left, D-Right) re-mapped to the wii nunchuck stick. Seems to work, but is a but odd to use the nunchuck stick to aim the cursor around on the tv.

I wouldn't give up hope on proper guncon 45 support via IR, fpse on Andoid supports guncon 45 via touchscreen afterall which must of been harder to make, my guess is the guncon registered crt scanlines as a grid map somehow with some pixels in the center of the screen used as a offset, the pixels being a few shades lighter or darker than the ones surrounding them but not enough to be visable to the human eye.
