Using NSMB, it's just a white screen on the top, and nothing on the bottom screen.

you are using .3dsx right and have game.nds on root of sd card?

It's probably an o3ds issue.
I'd test with my n3ds but it's still in the process of a hardmod

try deleting it then make sure you install the newer one? try another rom? the bottom screen looks like it should show white at least.

I just checked the CIA I uploaded and it does have Direct SDMC enabled.

Using Electroplankton this time, all screens are black.

You might have to wait a while for something to show up. Or the ROM just might not work.

I tried disabling DirectSdmcWrite in the rsf. still works for me, don't know if it will change anything

If I remember right for awhile all ds emulator's couldn't play pokemon without a cheat one for each problem and then they updated so you didn't need them. Since ds on psp uses an old core I would assume that's the problem and updating it should help but I'm not 100% sure.
