Gaming xbox 360 connect

Hey guy my body got for x-mas a 360 bundled with the connect..

i was looking try google and this forum and notices that you can softmod the console..

is it really worth it?and if i download games for him can we put it on an external drive like the wii?usb loader type..

You can't technically softmod it that I know of. You can, however flash the dvd drive with patched firmware to allow the xbox to play burnt games.
