Hardware Xbox 360 has froze during system update

Just turned on my 360 to copy the sonic racing transformed save file to cloud so I can play on Xbox one, and to my disappointment it has frozen during the update after auto restart.
This better not have bricked my shit, never had this happen during any kind of official system update

EDIT sure enough it now has RROD. This was an official update that I was forced into my Microsoft and it has bricked my console. Pieces of shit I'm going to have to ring them tomorrow. Fucking morons

It's not a conincidence I got the rrod during the update, the update has caused it, it was fine just before then bam, their update kills my console which i value, pieces of shit need to send me a new one

Bummer that it happened but it could very well be that you had a powersurge or just a failing NAND.

I was understandably pissed when I posted this.
The console broke during their update, it was fine before.
All my past consoles still work, ps1,2&3, snes,n64,GameCube,Wii,WiiU, all the handhelds, none have broke, yet microsofts console breaks down during a system update, not acceptable.
I contacted them and they said because I got the console in 2012 they cannot repair it.
BS and I do feel there is an injustice.
But I will move along.
I have a spare one but am worried about updating & breaking now with no help or replacement from MS.

What kind of RROD - if you're hitting E79 it's not broken.

If you're getting nothing, it's dead though. Generally a broken dash update won't kill a retail.
