GCN Xeno GC chip install problem - DVD drive doesn't work anymore?

Remove the chip and see if it still behaves the same.

I don't know. I put in the drive. Then started the console.

I have checked your chip picture. You filled with solder two holes completelly. That way you bridged several pins on the drive. That should be your mistake. Have you put some tape over pins 2,3,4 and 7,8,9 ?

What is the easiest und most comfortable way of removing the chip? I have absoulte no soldering skills at all...

I would try a different controller board those chips don’t interact with the controller board at all
