Hello everyone.
When I was opening RegionLangMask, I saw:

# ѓVѓѓЃ[ѓv‚ЕЋn‚Ь‚йЌs‚НѓRѓЃѓ“ѓg‚Ж‚Э‚И‚і‚к‚Ь‚·ЃBЃi“r’†‚©‚зѓRѓЃѓ“ѓg‚Нѓ_ѓЃЃj

# 2Ќs–Ъ‚ЄRomTypeЃB2Ќs–Ъ‚Є‚И‚Ї‚к‚ОRomType‚͋󕶎љ—с‚Й‚И‚й

How can I read this file and what I must change to play in Russian?

ok so here's what I did:

1. downloaded FTPiiU_Everywhere from the HBC app store (Haxchi version 0.1)
2. Tried using Filezilla but I get an error and it won't show any folders
3. downloaded FTPiiU_Everywhere (for CBHC - version 0.4u2)
4. Folders now show up in Filezilla
5. Went to /storage_mlc/usr/title/0005000e/101c9500/content/System/
6. There's a file called RegionLangMask.txt and I guess that's it, but trying to download or edit it just gives me an error

I'm guessing it's a problem with FTPiiU.

Here is whats inside that file.... how to force a specific language?

In the game directory (use FTPU Everywhere for example), there is a System folder, and Region txt file.
Open this in a hex editor and change your language to JAP (i think it's JPjp i don't remember).
Polish is EUpl IIRC, so just change it to JPjp.
But I'm not sure the game has JAP files though (check the voices directory, i dont remember seeing it).

Use Notepad++

What do we specifically need to change in the file RegionLangMask.txt? I found the file in root/storage_usb/usr/title/00050000/101c9500/content/System/ since I have the game installed in external USB. Is this the correct file? don't know what change here. Also opening the file with Notepat++ shows blank, but opening with other Hex Editor shows this:

Sadly it's not uncommon for Japanese companies to put every language on the disc except Japanese. Worse yet, the english dub is shockingly bad considering how polished the rest of the game is. Will have to wait

Would a save from a normal US version work with the undub when it gets released? I think that was possible with Xenoblade Chronicles X.

I don't see why not, it's the same exact game, it's just that some of the files would be changed, so it shouldn't affect anything save-wise.
Miiverse and other online services (if any, not that I found any) should work as well.

Replacing the files inside the Voice directory seems to work fine (don't replace the .bars files tho). Playing German Version of the game with Japanese voices :)
