Vacation with parents

So, in 2 weeks I will be going on a 3-week vacation. With my parents. In a camper van. I really have no idea on how to survive. Dear god help me.

First of all, I have to be around my parents and spend time with them 24/7. No private space. This is already terrible because I can't get along with my father (he's a little messed up in the head) and if I do anything that angers my father, my mother will get upset too.

Second of all, sleeping in the same room as my parents. Dear god. Both snore like pigs. Also, no late night gaming.

Then comes the issue of being away from home. As I am autistic I absolutely can not stand not having my own things around me. And I can't access anything or anyone, because I have a pc and no laptop.

And lastly, having jack shit to do. Like seriously, I can't take my pc with me, phone is absolutely useless in other countries and 3ds has no good games left to play.

Someone please send help

You could always replay a game you like. Maybe give emulation a shot? You could pretend to be stranded and only survive with rocks and twigs and stuff until help arrives 3 weeks later.

aren't you old enough to be left home alone? just tell them you don't want to go or that you're staying with one of your friends while they're away

@Snowdori
My parents consistently left me home alone after I turned nine.

Yea, haha. I asked if I could stay at my grandparents' but my mother told me it's a nice "family exercise" trip.

I'll see if I can find some good emulated games, may help relieve me of my boredom for at least two of the weeks. Good thing older games aren't that large, so I can fit many on my sd.

Regarding being left home alone, my childhood was similar to Matilda's from the hit book/movie Matilda, but with less telekinesis and cake.

Also, I'll admit, I'm pretty spoiled. So even if my parents left me alone at home I wouldn't be able to take care of everything.

You're going through your hardest years, and fights will kick off constantly. For the next five years, you will test, and be tested by your parents. Things will suck. They probably won't make much effort to get inside your head, and you have no scope to whats going on inside theirs.

Just... Strike a balance. Make the best of things. Retreat to gaming when you need. The snoring? Headphones. Just... Turn on some white noise or something. The trip though? Your autism and youth might drown out some of the awesomeness of your surroundings and the sights you'll see, but just be open to learning something. Suggest places nearby you might consider cool. Connect with your parents. Show them something of who you are and the person you're becoming and maybe you'll look back on it all fondly someday.

The snoring will suck though. If all else fails, get to sleep before they do. Seriously. I had to clap my hands loudly one night and wake my sleeping mother, grandparents and aunt, as the cacophony of snorting and grunting just about drove me into a padded room. I closed my eyes and made it back to sleep before it all began again. :P

You're 14 according to your profile. I understand what you're going through, but in 5 or so years, you're going to realise just how much your parents do for you. Seriously, being a parent is tough work, and I know it seems like they just get in the way, but they truly care about you.

Trust me. I came back from my first year of college a couple years ago, and I just couldn't wait to see my parents. I spend every moment I can with them over the summer, because one day, you'll have your own family, and you won't see them but maybe once or twice a year. Treasure this moment you have. Please.

ouch. Imo, the worst part is sleeping in such a small space. It really bothers me, it feels too small to a point where I can only think of wanting to leave. In a tent, anyway.

You'll just have to hope snoring is the only thing they do to keep you awake.
14 is possibly too old to be first learning sock on the doorknob/if the thing's a rockin' don't come a knockin'. I am told parents even give their kids money and tell them to bugger off these days, especially if there is only one of you.

@op I will happily give that 3ds has no games but have you also played all the DS library as well?

Get a DS flashcart and play DS games that you didn't get a chance to play way back then.

Play Pokemon and try catch them all, i bet you could own a good chunk of them by the time your back.

Maybe ask if you can bring a friend, least you and your friend can have some fun.

My state has put a heavy tax on vape juice, taxing any juice with nicotine by the weight/oz. So to get around the bs, my local vape store only sells 0 nicotine vape juices, then they also sell straight nicotine in tiny bottles, and you mix it yourself to your 0% juice, lol

They actually enlisted Muslims, seriously, because the Muslims hates Jews, even tho it was not the supreme race. He claimed common hate, is friendship.
