Too hot to sleep

Too. Hot.

Basically, the temperature has risen to 33 degrees Celsius during the day, and that means terrible heat at night. I didn't get any sleep last night and I fear it'll be the same this night. I cannot think of a solution. Opening the window lets more heat in. Lots of things won't work for me because of sensory issues. The sound of a fan is too annoying. I need a thick blanket to fall asleep because of the pressure. Water/Ice feels too weird. It's always during the summer when my sensory processing issues start acting up (ASD, Autism).

Help meh.

Damn, can't even begin to imagine that. The highest I've ever had to face was 41 in Thailand.

Same problem here. 25/27°C and I'm dying of heat in the night.
My solution is having a fan pointed directly at me and some earplug(for the fan sound and mosquitos).
Other than that I don't wear clothes in my house during the day (and always with the fan on) and when out of the house wear thin clothes.
Best of luck for those impossibly hot days there ! :P

Too bad I only have these huge headphones to drown out fan noises, and sleeping with big-ass headphones is impossible.

Airco.
Best solution ever.

Note to self: rob boyfriend of money so we can purchase an airco unit.

well, 33 celsius degrees in plenty summer are not that bad comparing with many places include my country (Spain), but if you feel so bad why you don't use AC instead of a noisy fan?

Do you have a basement? You should probably move down there. Other than that, you should probably just look up some ideas to stay cool during the night. Also David lol.

38℃ here the day, as @Jay Clay said...
Around the coast we get like 28 at night, due to the humidity.

Fan is the only think that works...

Edit: Take a cold shower, and when you're almost done, change it to hot water, the hotest you can, your body will react to it lowering his temperature.
I do it every day.

I live in the north east of the US, so yeah, we get humid heat! I had my aircond on pretty much non-stop since June.

Go for a walk around your house, for 5 minutes or so. Then take a hot shower. When you step out, the air will feel colder because you've just been in hot water. Then go to bed. (By the way, is it 33 degrees at night? If not, open your window, just leave the shades down and close it during the day.)

Everyone here is hot ;D

Except for those on the other side of the hemisphere

And those under the age of 18. Eek.

70f at night is bull shit. It sounds cooler, but it's NOT, dear god. I remember before I had an aircond in my bedroom, it was pure hell.
