We have all heard that Nintendo has ceased production of the 3ds. They have also issued a statement saying that no online services are scheduled to be stopped in te foreseeable future. That was just hours ago, now on Nintendolife, I see this headline...
Nintendo To Shutdown "Limited" Wii U And 3DS eShops In Select Countries
If you read the article it says you will not be able to use codes for redeeming items and that certain games will cease to work.
It goes on to say this islimited to some smaller countries.. I say maybe but how long once we've swallowed that before they're shutting it down globally.
I can promise you, with that above statement... they DO in fact have plans to shut down services for the 3ds online in the 'foreseeable future'. I only bring this up because I just read someone's post on an online forum where the person said the only reason they stopped the DS one was because of Gamespys closure.I realize some people don't care about this but some of us are still using our 3ds and would still like to see those online services continue for sometime. And what's the damd rush to shut down the online gaming for the 3ds anyway? I would think during this pandemic they could hold out for a bit more time before shutting out the services of their golden child of handhelds.
(any inaccuracies in this post were due to my rush to post it, more research should have been done by me, but my duties as an assistant at a food bank are calling , so I'll check in on this later.)
Let the flaming begin.. oh, er I mean comments?
