Or Windows 98 if you wanna do DOS gaming as well.
If you want DOS gaming, get one of those new DOS laptops that have been popping up recently. Scorching fast 7MHz CPU, 512kb RAM, glorious 256 color VGA.

Thought they were cool, but the price is expensive. Would've been half price if you could get one pre-built from eBay.

Need to find the chargers in order to see the specs of both.
Then I'll decide wheter or not to try and upgrade. Kinda want to leave them like they're, nostalgia reasons.

To be honest, I just want them to test bootable USBs. Need to find USBs too.

Tomorrow will go to the flea market, hope to find what I need.

Damn, I'm regretting not buying that Win 7 VAIO. Searching it on Google, it's over 8000MXN used and I was going to get it at 400. 😩

Just keep an eye out for discounted universal chargers. Picked one up some years back for about £20 or even a discounted bench power supply and some adapters (not ideal though).

That said, there are three factors to consider when testing bootable USB:
1) BIOS/CSM
2) 32bit UEFI
3) 64bit UEFI

The middle one tends to be the bigger PITA these days, at least from my experience.

Same, especially for an 8088, which means no DOOM.

Although annoyingly it has OPL3 built in, I've had issues in the past trying to find a reasonably priced ISA sound card with Win9x support, wavetable and true/decent OPL. Even if someone comes out with an AIO Pi based solution or some cheap modern alternative just to free up the PCI slot for a SCSI card I'd like to install on my retro rig, so far the ones I've seen are limited.

They cost $200, not cheap but nowhere near a high end laptop.

Once upon a time it might have been high end ;).

That said I don't think the 8088 laptop is meritless, novelty aside, I can imagine if someone requires an 8088 hardware and/or needs hardware like ISA slots, etc. but doesn't have the space for an actual PC, then something like this might be useful.

My one order of Gundam kits came today. These are the ones I ordered from a local Gunpla shop in my town but they don't have a store front and it's in the middle of nowhere so I can't pick up from them. But I'm more than happy to pay for shipping , especially cause it's only $10-$20 for how fast they get shipped.

I still have 5 other kits I had pre-ordered from another site and 15 bottles/jars of hobby paints to get shipped out to me but I'm waiting for my Isaac Clarke figure to come in, hopefully in the next week or 2, to ship everything together.

My back log is ever growing with Gunpla, Car, plane, and tank kits. I probably have over 60 kits now.

I ordered it myself. I knew "family" couldn't help me :(. And of course, always running out of INK for my personal business papers.
