I used the same.
Wow, Spirit Tracks looks a lot like Windwaker in terms of Graphics + Models. The DesMuMe mainline added texture filtering beside of high resolution support.

Fairly certain that's by designWow, Spirit Tracks looks a lot like Windwaker in terms of Graphics + Models.
Well, i meant more about Quality than Design.Fairly certain that's by design
No idea if anyone else got this problem, But i use this version of DesMuMe as default, can't go back to the other one, too.. low-res.. but, i have an issue with certain games displaying colours wrong
High Resolution OFF
And High Resolution ON
EDIT: Must be one of the bugs with OpenGL, but SoftRasterizer runs so slowly..
No idea, this is the only sprite based game i playDoes it happen only with sprite based games? Anyway, you should probably just turn off high resolution in games like that, since it doesn't help at all.
Did you try the latest official DeSmuMe build?Judging by the release date on the last rev the project might be dead in terms of updates,
I tested "Mario Hoops 3-on-3" Using my low end gaming setup which consists of the following =
Gtx 960 4GB
Core i3 4160
8GB DDR3 Ram
Used 4X Res and got around 32FPS on average the program it's self is nice it is just not optimized very well.
no i Used the build provided although i believe it is 9.1 which is the same as the official build.Did you try the latest official DeSmuMe build?
Still looks great! Will definitely try this out!You guys should know that the provided screenshot is a best-case scenario. Very few games will see that much improvement.
These are more realistic.
HA! I love South ParkSo I was going around on the Google Machine last night, and found out some awesome bootleg games and eventually, this. Some user of Desmume decided to make a modified build that renders high resolution versions of your favorite DS games. Here's one screenshot to show you the stark difference:
Want the build of Desmume that includes hi-res? Go nuts:32-bit and 64-bit builds: http://shikaver01.webcrow.jp/desmume_x432r/index.html
However, SoftRasterizer is the best option to use at the moment. OpenGL is currently semi-broken with this and seems to only work with some games.
To enable Hi-Res:
1. Start Desmume
2. Go to Config -> High Resolution 3D Renderer, then choose from X2, X3, or X4, you can play with the other settings to your liking
3. ???
4. Profit!
