You should probably remove the link to Retroarch Repack because it is not outdated, the 5th August nightly adds many new cores and fixes many of those that were previously not working. Best to just direct people to the nightlies.

You uploaded the mini settings bubble? Nice! :D
I suppose it only boots on devkits though, right?

If you're new to using RetroArch, is it generally best just to grab whatever the latest nightly build is, or is there a general consensus on the 'best build currently available'? Thanks :)

Thanks for the info. I'm a little confused with RetroArch really. I've already got some 'stand alone' emulators installed since the HENkaku hack. A Genesis, SMS and SNES one. I downloaded the latest RetroArch pack, and there are loads of files. I get that I just need to install the particular emulators I want - but what is it that pulls it all together under the RetroArch front end? If each RA emulator is installing as a seperate bubble, what input is RA having? I mainly downloaded it for the Cave Story and CPS stuff really.

Cheers, I'll head there. (But what I meant by that question, was that if each emulator is installing as a separate bubble, and they don't come together under any sort of front end, I'm not sure I understand what input RetroArch is having - if you can install the emulators on their own, I mean. Why is it being called RetroArch?)

But for GBA and SNES you are probably better of using VHBL.
For GBA, sure - gpSP is miles ahead of mGBA in terms of speed and remains the way to go for now.

For Snes however, the Snes9x 2005 core (i.e. CATSFC) is the best and a good balance between speed and accuracy.

I'm so pleased with this - just completed Cadillacs & Dinosaurs on the CPS1 emulator. It's amazing, I love having these on the Vita, they look gorgeous on the screen too. Awesome work guys.

I think my 3.10FW Vita might actually be coming back out of its box, woop woop! I red over @Wololo.net that the new HENkaku hack uses .vpk packages and it mentions as long as the game is stripped of all its DRMs then you can actually load a full back up on your vita through the hack and it runs fully with no issues! I would imagine now its only a matter of time before someone really clever creates an app that you run the back up through a cleaner that takes away the DRMs, then you can run it on your vita, I really can see this sort of method happening real soon I hope anyway. It is, really well over due though running back ups on a vita, just a shame the vita is coming to the end of its life span very soon, if it hasn't already begin, that is :(

The final piece of the puzzle does seem to be decrypting dumps, everything on the console side is all set for decrypted dumps., as the recent unencrypted dump of Adventure Time proves.

Would you go about installing that Adventure Time backup the same way you install any other vpk currently by using molecular shell?

I hear that MolecularShell will experience an 'out of memory' error while trying to install the package. (Or any large package for that matter). You need to use VitaShell 0.7 to bypass that issue.
