What would be the best way to share clear videos of our shared levels and our attempts at the levels of others? It would be cool to see how we approach each others' submissions and/or our own (especially since there is no requirement to clear your own level before "uploading"). I'm assuming public posting options like YouTube may be a bit on the risky/illegal side.

Yea uploading to Youtube is not illegal at all, I've uploaded me beating my two hardest levels here: https://www.youtube.com/user/SSBMules/videos

Also I played your level "The Castle Escape" and it was super fun! I plan on live streaming sometime this week and I will definietly be playing your level on stream at: https://www.twitch.tv/toogoodmules

I'll be sure to upload your level's run to youtube and share it here.

Why whould it be illegal? If you've downloaded cemu+roms, it's obviously because you own the original console and game, right?
You probably even got the commonkey, and game-keys yourself, when hacking and ripping your own Wii U and game-discs.. Like everyone else here on this forum.
Nothing illegal about that.

Tou che...

Thanks man! It was my first so I wasn't sure if the design would play out (or if I even packed/uploaded it the right way).

There is a whole industry around it with youtube and twitch. Nintendo wants you to post on youtube. I recall a few years back a move by them to take a cut of ad-revenue for use of their intellectual capital in lieu of take-down notices

I am gonna be playing "The Castle Escape" and "The Castle Break In" tomorrow evening on my stream https://www.twitch.tv/toogoodmules to promote reddit.com/r/CemuMarioMaker . Check it out if you're free because these levels are fun, and I might be making a new level on stream after I beat them!

Dig it! I'll be watching for it. I have one more level in the can that I will upload today after one more playtest session. Thanks for the support!

Used NEW-NUSGrabberGUI, and decrypted with Uwizard. The 3 decrypted folders use 230mb.
And the new save-folder in cemu is "b8611392".

Luckily I made a backup of my v160 game :-)
Excuse me, is (input data = decrypted file = 250 MB)?
I mean, both should be pasted to the game folder or just the 3 folders are enough?

Please someone help a brother out...
I'm trying to load some other people's courses into Super Mario Maker through loadiine. Game's running fine, I've grabbed the update files from NUS (I'm on 1.43) and it all seems smooth. I've downloaded some other maps and I'm trying to get them to run... but I can't manage it.
Either it doesn't see the courses at all or it throws me the old error code 150-3034 'An error has occurred. If there is an SD Card inserted into your wii u console, please remove it, then turn off the console and try again'. When this happens I think it shows me the courses I'm after for an instant before showing the error message. But I know the SD card is OK as it's running the game fine, and other games too.
I've tried various combinations of where to put the files (eg into the 'saves - super mario maker - u' folder or the 'saves - super mario maker - 8000001' folder)
Should I be messing with the Save Mode in loadiine (ie Shared Mode or Unique Mode)? What's the deal here, I know I'm being a muppet, but how exactly?

I made this thread due to the lack of levels you can find and download. I haven't found a file sharing thread of Super Mario Maker regarding level sharing so i decided to make one. Using latest version of Cemu Super Mario Maker is playable as-long as you have a decent CPU/GPU. Also loadline i believe doesn't have online for Mario Maker so this thread goes for those users too.

Also would like any save for Mario Maker if you have any costumes unlocked.

Requirements:
Take a picture in Coursebot like
http://imgur.com/47tONg9

If course shows black, just take a picture in game.

Using Cemu? Recommend EUR version as it doesn't crash latest update!

Faqs:
Where are saves/Maps in Cemu?

mcl01/emulatorSave/44fc5929
(Updated game locations will vary)

Latest in cffa129b folder

Maps will be labeled as course000, course001, and so on.
You need to create a course first and you need to replace one. Cemu may not show the thumbnail but will still work if you click on it.

How to dump on Wii U Console?

I believe you dump with saviine, correct me if i'm wrong. Need 5.3.2 or 5.4 Wii U.[/SPOILER]

Can you help out man the problem is this save has one of the zelda mystery mushroom level and do you know how to like frekin get the amibo things in game for yourself

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)

yes looks like an faulty sd
