If I was a dev I would never release an exploit using a memorial of someone's death.
I totally understand. Personally I don't care that much. Don't get me wrong, not saying that I don't care about Iwata's death, I'm not the kind of person who gets sad because a celebrity died, but with Iwata's, it's different because in a way we all shared something with him by playing his games, which in a sense, had a big impact on who I am right now. But IMHO this is two different things that has nothing to do with one and another. But again, just my opinion.

We could also see that as the ultimate tribute to Iwata, by unlocking all the potential of the console. Most of the people are only interested in running backups, and I won't lie but I'm also interested in that. But with the Switch hardware, we have some new possibilities for homebrew, and I'm really looking forward the day we can exploit this piece of technology

Actually, it's chinese

No, its not. While China is the most populated country in the world, and has the most people speaking a single language in one country, most of the Chinese people also know English. This is a fact that you'll find throughout the world, many people take on English as their second language as it is the most spoken language on the planet.

Now, if you're talking native language then yes, Chinese is the language with the most native speakers.

What about forget the original thread and discuss about languages instead? :D

I think the odds that this nets you anything, on top of possible trepidations from the community to use it, are fairly low.

This doesn't seem to be some accidental flub, this seems like it was intentional. Generally knocks potential usability down a few pegs on the possibility-scale.

Nope, it's still chinese. Here's a random source, you can look at it for yourself if you still don't believe it

We don't know for sure

Absolutely nothing! But I highly doubt people are that excited to play a NES game. And since we have no idea if it can be useful for a hack, people are a bit too excited IMHO. There's already a ton of NES emulators on pretty much any electronic devices you can name. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a NES emulator for fridges :D
tbh, ya, I could go pirate it right now and play it on my wii, laptop, pc, 3ds, tablet, maybe even through the switch browser if I could find a website that'll do it, though i would have to poke around in the tote in the basement, I might already have it and could play it on the original nes

LOL at everyone at the beginning of the thread pretentiously mocking @Setery

Such a perfect sign of the hubris of the users of this site.

What a nice and welcoming community!
Allow me to start off by saying that, no, I wasn't one of those people. But two, I don't think it's so much a sign of how poor this community is, but rather, how illogical the process to get that thing running seemed at the time. It only seemed logical that the process seemed false.

Well, there is a reason that this site is often referred to as "GBAfail"...

How about you go back and read?
It's been established that OPs scenario has never been covered or proven.

I don't like to get involved in these conversations, but personally, I don't think it is too far-fetched that he accessed the game on July 11, and didn't make a video or anything. He claims to have accessed the game on July 19 (eight days later), and we know that he made this thread about it on July 22 (eleven days later). First, there are many people with a Switch, so I don't think it's completely impossible that one person could stumble on the game accidentally on July 11. Also, they may not follow video games like many of the regulars on sites like these, and not think too much if something like that were to happen, where many on here, for instance, would know that NES Golf randomly popping up is very unexpected. I know several people who would probably not take a picture or record a video, even if they did think that the game showing up was a bit weird. Of course, this is speculation, but I'm guessing he probably accessed it on July 11, searched for something like "nes switch" on Google several days later, found old articles about the NES emulator in the Switch, made the connection that "FLOG" equals "GOLF," and decided to ask about it further. Whether or not he made some or most of it up, it doesn't change the fact that he was at least correct about the NES Golf ROM being on the Switch, even though several people, including a hacker that many look at in high regard, called him a liar for it.

Again, this discussion is mostly speculation anyway...
