I keep getting Error Code: 199-9999 every time i exit any injected gamecube game and start another or the same game, i'm forced to restart the Wii U every time.
anyone have a solution for this?
Use HaxchiFW, Mocha or Sigpatch to bypass the Wii U signature checks, these are not original games, obviously.

So would games that support only the wiimote and nunchuck work with this script to? Maybe a value changed in the meta.xml or somewhere like how only wiimote is enabled ?
This is already the case, if you don't try to force GamePad support it just gives you the normal wii remote prompts.

When you exit a WiiVC title, the Wii U is clean booted. What are you using for signature patches? If you're using CBHC then it should reboot with sigpatches immediately.

Question: When injecting a Wii game, is the game still running on the D2X CIOS installed on the vwii? For compatibility reasons, I'm curious.

It seems to run on unmodified IOS since the WiiVC games run perfectly with unhacked vWii.

Next time just attach the log.txt file instead of pasting a really long post. Can you attach a picture of your sourcefiles directory? Seems that the script can't find your game.gcm.

Nope, running the native WiiVC Implementation.

Sorry, will do. Here's the picture with the game.gcm being SSBM 20XX

So....does this mean compatibility issues are non existent? Just curious because I've got a crap load of game and before I started going through the process of Injecting/WUP Installing I want to be sure they all work well.

The script is supposed to disable file extension hiding if the conversion fails, but are you sure your game file name doesn't have a hidden ".iso" extension on the end or something like that?

Is there a way I can find that? As far as I know the the name of the file before I renamed it had .gci

Yep! All the games will run the same way that it runs on vWii with a few exceptions, I've converted so many games and had only 1 real issue: Pokémon Battle Revolution does not work at all, the battle never starts, other games are fully functional or sometimes doesn't play on the GamePad even with Classic Controller support. The new script version seems to make the GamePad work in these games too.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
