Do not update from 1.0.0 if you want custom firmware/emunand!

Thank you all for your replays, i will stay on 1.0.0 FW for now ...
but why does we have a pined thread recommending to update 3.0.0 when you are in lower firmware ? it seems misleading to me
The spread of information is very convoluted at the moment due to several large announcements and teasers. But the lower your firmware the better, and right now 1.0.0 is the golden firmware.
1.0.0 > 2.X.0 > 3.0.0
If anyone reading this is on 2.X.0 and thinking of updating, hold off. SciresM has mentioned on the Reswitched Discord that there is a good reason not to jump to 3.0.0.

But somehow aquire another switch.
Update to latest firmware enjoy and wait for TX
profit.

True, but it's at least guaranteed for 1.0.0 without a chip, and actively being worked on. While higher firms might never get emuNAND without a chip.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.+1 -
