I want to apologize for my harsh reaction to the statements of yesterday, but to me, this ransomware attack was a terrible, really terrible event.
I was sure I took precautions to prevent things like that. I had backups on 4 different hard drives which I believed at the time to be enough
So someone questioning that this event happened in the first place is hurtful to say the least...
I didn't store it online or with someone else because I made bad experiences with the PSP Translation of Reigitize, where translations were stolen and leaked.
The backup that I had stored on a USB Stick was not as up to date as I'd hoped, which is why we lost something in the process. I currently estimate that we recovered 10% of what was lost already, 15% more to go, which as I stated should take approximately two more weeks.
Our current team consists out of 2 members, which is SydMontague (wo replied earlier) and me. As such, when his statement was being made fun of in that manner, it really pissed me off, because he's a great guy and a friend. He tried to clarify things and got only sarcasm in return. Things are already as bad as they could be, I can barely do any computer work as things are right now (I only have 60% vision due to the surgery)
But the reason @Issac I requested the thread to be locked were not some statements, but because I haven't maintained this post for quite a while and I no longer intend on doing so.
As such the information this thread contains is outdated, and as was pointed out by TheTrueDream42 is misleading, as it doesn't represent the current state of our project.
Why my edit of the original thread was reversed is beyond me, since I included the link to facebook, stating that this is where people can find actual information on the project.
Yes the ransomware attack and everything else happened in an unfortunate timeframe, but things like this do happen. Nobody could be more sorry about this than me.
