Simplest way is to use a second 3DS (that already has CFW) with a cheap compatible DSi game from the eshop since I expect it's more likely to find someone close by who has one, but there's always ntrboot, but requires flashcart.
I don't think DSiware transfer is simpler than ntrboot. The later is instahack and failsafe, meanwhile the former is prone to user error.

Considering how only a mentally challenged person would have trouble following 3ds.guide when it's so well written, then even DSiWare transfer is laughably easy:P

ntr boot hax is your only option dude, besides that way you get a flashcart for old nds games,, that's a good thing, even if you are unable to hack your system,, you still will have a flashcart and can at least play those games all you want

In all honesty, I think a new entrypoint that doesn't require an external device should be a good thing.

First because not everyone lives in a place where it is easy to afford even an old NDS linker, and second because not everyone actually has uses for these, especially with the fact that not all of these can be recovered and reused as NDS linkers after ntrboot. Oh, and the fact the compatibility is far from reaching every linker, despite some of the most popular ones being available.

Sure this would be nice, however it's not currently a thing. Until if/when it is, the current options are all that's available. I'm sure at some point down the line, someone will work out a new entry point, but until then, we have what's available...nothing more and nothing less. Both NTRBootHax and the DSiWare methods are pretty easy (I've actually gone through both), and buying a flash cart should be (at least in most places) cheaper than buying a new 3ds game. I only know of a few countries where the import tax is prohibitive, and even then it's STILL not as much as buying a new 3ds game. Hardmodding is always on the table too (though may not be a viable option for a lot of people because of lack of skill) so really we have 3 possible entry points currently.

i downloaded from the homebrew website and followed instructions but when i try to play the soundhax file on my ds it says could not play.
if there isnt a way to hack this version then why the heck is it on the website as an option!?!!?!?!?!??!

If you can't read tables, it's not the website's fault. If SoundHax is not in the same row as 11.6, then of course it's not compatible

I feel like I want to mod my 2ds but I feel scared because I feel like I am going to brick it and lose everything! I also need to find a way to back up Mario Kart 7 because it was pre-installed.
Thanks for making an attempt to help.

The current methods are pretty safe, but if you're really that reluctant to do it, I wouldn't. If you do decide to go ahead with the process, read and re-read everything a couple times before taking any steps.

As long as you follow an up to date guide, and don't do anything stupid, you won't brick.
You don't need to backup MK7 since it will still be installed on the 3DS after softmodding

could some one find an easy way to hack 11.6.0-39u without the Freaky Forms hack?
Thank You.

Freakyform only give you entry to homebrew, not access to CFW

You need to use one of the method mentioned in the guide.

Just follow https://3ds.guide. It's very simple. You can either use ntrboot or seedminer.

Nintendo can't patch the exploit via a system update
