I finally made some progress with game saves and moving them to a new sdcard. I stuck with JKSV as it seems to be able to handle the 3 different kinds of saves. After some reading, saves will not show up as being restorable until an actual save has been created. You must play a game until you can make your first save, and then you should be able to do a restore. I tried the above with both the homebrew and NSAP installable version of JKSV. I had more success with the NSP installed version.

Yeah, didn’t think you were not aware of the way JKSV works..., you effectively need to create a new save for each game you want to restore.

You really should rethink this. Fat32 is safer. The hidden partition is safer. You can easily back up the hidden partition. I posted a tool and there is one on the SXOS forum... FAR less risk of corruption with FAT32 and hidden partition. No bullshit. Just an ini file and atmosphere will read it too. You are making this so complicated for no reason. You want stability? Partition based with FAT32 is the standard. No moving saves. You can even have 2 hidden partitions with 2 Emutendo folders. All coexisting. You could have it done in a few steps. ExFAT is shit on switch.

I just made the switch to atmosphere from sxos. Just wiped it clean and did a full setup of atmosphere. It was a bit confusing for me to start, but now it seem like it work like a charm And tinfoil installs my backups just fine☺️ I don’t think I need sxox anymore, and it’s probably dead anyway

Well, I have various switches and had migrated most to atmosphere but I have lately moved a couple of them back to SXOS and another one to atmos+sxos, why ? because I can use it on 11.0.1 ( yeah, the frankenfirmware thing ) and 12.0.0 support in atmos is still not quite there so... and some things are just convenient in sxos; the thing is moving xci files between consoles just kills it.

Why do you need to move xci files. With tinefoil you can install from hdd, just like sxos. Just have your backup on a external hdd. And plug it in whatever switch u like to install on..

Because when you install it as nsp ( even if you install an xci ) that game becomes tied to that specific switch console. When you MOUNT an xci you just mount and use, no need to tie the game to that switch console and lose time installing. The installed games, when you want to back them up or copy them to another console, are just an awful unjustifiable time lost, while xci are just a file you can drag and drop.

Ofc that is ur right to do☺️ Was just curious. I have a 500 gb sd card. I always just install my favorite games on in. Quite a lot of games too :) and mostly play in handheld mode. I installed xci with sxos too. Never liked to mount them, cus that meant I needed the xci file on my sad card in handheld. Liked to just install them easy from my hdd and play in handheld mode but we are all allowed to have different ways doin things

I have on of these external SDDs from Samsung:

They work pretty well with a USB-C-to-C cable in handheld mode (they even come with a C-to-C cable).
That's why I second what Inaki wrote. It's still nice to have SX OS for the ability to mount XCI files instead of wasting space on the SD card even if it's big (my current card has 400 gb).
I understand that not everyone likes to have a cable with an external SSD floating around when playing in handheld mode though. In a perfect world we would already have 2 TB mSD cards for 50 $ each. :D Then even I would install anything directly and leave SX OS behind.

Yes, i don’t have exactly same hdd. But I do similar thing. Have external hdd that I just pop in my switch with usb-a to usb -c cable and just install The games i like to have on my sd card and Play :) dont like to have a HDD on my lap when playing, and i need a port to a charger for my switch my wife watch tv, and I play that’s what I love about the switch. I can play without occupying the TV

LOL! I'd lmao if they put a gay ride in the little arcade section they have in this walmart. It could be like the horses rides you put quarters in, except it would be like the ambiguously gay duo cartoon & you sit on top of the other guy thats in a "flying" position. LMAO!

So I drive the 30 miles there, spend $100-$150 on groceries, and drive back home. Still saved $$$ after gas over shopping locally.

They passed a city ordinance last month. No smoking cannabis in public. Not even eating gummies. $300 fine and misdemeanor charge if caught. People can walk down the street smoking cigs and tossing the butts all over, but God forbit someone take a couple puffs of their medication.

First off, it's recreationally legal here. Secondly, I have a prescription from my doctor and approved by the state. But still a fucking criminal.

A Trump win is certainly a possibility. If he's reelected, 4 more years then no one has to worry about him being president ever again. I survived last time, I'll survive it if there's a next time. Don't know how anyone could vote for the guy, but I'm also not anyone else but me.
