Well, it turns out I could've just opened the ISO file to see what was in there. I found the .pkg file, but now I don't really know what to do from here. I know that I need to turn it into a fake .pkg, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Every tool I've tried always asks me for a passcode to decrypt the pkg. Is getting the passcode from the developers the only way to get the passcode or is there some other way? @KiiWii

As I said before you would need to use the pkg/rif with the IDU method to install them (preferably on a console 7.55 or lower), then run dumper payload to get the console to decrypt it for you.

Legit question, a bit new to the PS4 scene. What's stopping someone from reversing how the console is decrypting the content and mirroring the process externally? I know it's not that simple as someone would have done it already, but what specifically is stopping it?

Keys and SAMU. Current PS4 hacks don’t have any control over SAMU we just intercept after decryption and ask SAMU nicely to do various things for us. To do this externally would require a 1:1 emulator (see orbital by Alex Altea)… or keys… which we do not have access to.

Interesting. If I find some free time I'll see if I can figure out a way to gain complete arbitrary execution of all areas. Been too long without a true CFW anyways.

Found some resources to get me started. Seems Sony was NOT fucking around with security this time.

I see, well I would really appreciate it if someone could look into this for me since I don't have a PS4 to do anything with lol.
I can pm where I got the encrpyted .pkg from if it helps.

So is this actually doable at the moment?

It’s doable stop asking. No one is going to do it for you for free. Either get a hackable PS4 and do it yourself, or wait and hope someone eventually does it for their own reasons.

When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2

I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
