    To clarify - He wants his CIOS updating and in all honesty, I have not kept up with Wii stuff. If someone can post what ever is the cios to have, I will update him to that once its repaired.

    Its probably not boot2 capable. But as deadly said - its right on the border. You will probably need your nand backup reprogramming onto your nand externally. Im in the UK and offer this service - let me know if you want to go that route, as its sounds like its your only option at this point...

    Not entirely... Bootmii wont overwrite boot2 and the bootmii uninstaller doesnt completely return boot2 to stock either. Only way this would make your wii completely virgin is if you had bootmii as an IOS and never installed as boot2 or used a nand programmer to put it back to stock.

    by "screwed" I assume you mean "Will have to send it to someone to have the nand reprogrammed"? It sounds like you have a software issue and without being able to get into the Wii, you wouldnt be able to repair it.

    Can tell you just from the part number its a 2MB NOR chip. 160 = 16megabit I can dump this chip if someone wants to research this or has a dead one they want to send for testing - can have it back if its revived.

    I've never bought any replacements to date, I scavenge them from other boards (usually dead D3, D3-2 as they are pretty useless) as there are 2 per board right next to each other.
