Activate PS3 without controller.

i have a ps3 but i need a controller to get into menu. have an aftermarket controller which doesnt work (the ps button wont be detected). i tried with mouse and keyboard, doesnt work either.

I believe you can remap with a keyboard

If it doesn't work then you probably would need a genuine dualshock 3.

While a dualshock 4 will work with a PS3, I couldn't find where you could use it during activation, and that only a dualshock 3 authentic can.
