I was trying to play a PSP game on the Vita using Adrenaline, but the gfx are filtered, see the following screenshot. You can see a horrible fixed pattern dithering over the whole image. Is this something that Adrenaline does on purpose? It looks horrible. Playing the same game n PPSSPP on the PC has none of this (see second image). Does the Vita have a lower colour depth than the PSP? Are there any options to remove the awful effect?

It is exactly the opposite. PSP uses 16-bit color depth for bandwidth reasons. That's why the real thing has dithering. PPSSPP is just using 24 or 32-bit color depth. Which is not how the real thing looks, but that's what emulators do (I mean, it probably has a 16-bit option somewhere, I haven't used it).
