I bought this iPhone used and it’s activation locked. Anyway to bypass it? I contacted the seller, but am getting no reply.

The seller probably found the phone or stole it. I found a reddit post with a software called "iAmADirtyPhoneThief" that you can research about. Apple hardware has really tight security as they make their hardware in-house and don't have to follow standards like android devices. I have limited experience with iPhone jailbreaking but if the software on the iPhone is old enough, there may be some luck in breaking into it.
He or she knew it was locked and didn't mention it. Too big of a detail to forget.
Can jailbreak be installed on an Activation/iCloud locked iPhone?
Anyone who says this is impossible is wrong. The only way to do it though is to find someone who offers the service of removing the lock on the backend server. Hard to find a reputable seller, but definitely possible. If you bought this on eBay though, START A RETURN WHILE YOU CAN. If the seller doesn't respond, start a case and eBay will automatically side with you and force a refund. If it's been longer than 30 days since the package arrived, contact PayPal instead.
Call Apple support, they'll help you with it over the phone. Much of this stuff is automated too, making shit really easy.
I don't get why that would be. All you should need is the IMEI number for the phone, and an Apple ID.You might as well just get an Android, they'll just say they can't help you, but you can buy a new iPhone instead

PayPal covers online purchases to up to 6 months, if I recall correctly. But, in normal situations no one should wait that long if the product is faulty.Anyone who says this is impossible is wrong. You have prove it's your phone, if it isn't they'll want a valid proof of purchase, but what do they consider a valid purchase....
I was finally able to return the phone. iPhone security is pretty solid.
