You can easily get the homebrew channel to work again in Tiramisu by deleting 50_hbl_installer.rpx inside sd:/wiiu/environments/tiramisu/modules/setupCBHC:
Pros:
HB Channel does work
CBHC Wins imo because of the HB Channel
There really is nothing wrong with Mocha, you'll be hard pressed to find something that Tiramisu can't do in it's CFW that CBHC can in it's CFW. Frankly, I'm not sure there is a single thing the Mocha environment of TIramisu can't do that the Haxchi environment of CBHC can.Whats the Mocha aspect mean and how does it differ in actual usage?
I actually did this a while back, and for some insight as to why (for me anyway) I prefer the HBC over Mii Maker launching is specifically because of WUP Installer. Using it in HBL via MiiMaker it's surprisingly unstable no matter which version you use whether it be OG, Y-Mod or GX2. My preferred choice is the original Y-Mod though. Anyways after starting an install and finishing one it does this half re-load of Mii Maker before it goes back to the WUP Installer menu which quite frequently causes crashes, switching to HBC however changed this. I do know that there is an RPX forwarder for GX2 but like I said I prefer not to use it, idk why but it's just a weird preference of mine. You can easily get the homebrew channel to work again in Tiramisu by deleting 50_hbl_installer.rpx inside sd:/wiiu/environments/tiramisu/modules/setup
You do lose Homebrew launching when you launch the Mii channel when you do it this way, but it works great all the same (I never preferred this alternate way to launch the homebrew channel anyway, not sure why they push it with Tiramisu).

Future-proofing. The bare metal environment is better for developers I hear; and Aroma will make the user experience better than "lmao click Mii Maker" anyway. For the time being I do what you do for the same reasons you do, but I understand the reasoning. You do lose Homebrew launching when you launch the Mii channel when you do it this way, but it works great all the same (I never preferred this alternate Mii channel way to launch the homebrew channel anyway, not sure why they push it with Tiramisu).
Aroma is supposedly going to do away with the homebrew Chanel entirely (even over mii maker) and all your homebrew apps will instead automatically populate the Wii U menu. Honestly I've heard Maschell talk about it a few times, and I'm really not looking forward to this aspect of Aroma, as I really do prefer a lot of my homebrew apps to be hidden away in a separate loader channel, and I have a lot of titles, so the homebrew apps populating the menu may actually take me past the 300 title limit, which would suck.Future-proofing. Beyond the quickstart menu popping up again when you boot in Tiramisu, I don't think I'm aware of any noticeable differences in boot times. There might be a difference, but it's subtle if there is.Mocha CFW isn't really a con, people just didn't recommend using it with CBHC or Haxchi because it didn't offer any advantages and it increased boot times.
Haven't tried Tiramisu yet myself (Wii U is gathering dust) but I imagine the boot time of that is not great as is with all the modularity it offers, but that modularity does have some real advantages. Could be considered a con though.
I actually tested with time stamps (with autoboot anyway) and it loads exactly the same as a non-modded Wii U so boot time isn't affected.Beyond the quickstart menu popping up again when you boot in Tiramisu, I don't think I'm aware of any noticeable differences in boot times. Hb channel works fineHB Channel doesnt work
Didn't realize that, should I update my Tiramisu installation?the hb channel works now. it didn't at release unless you deleted one of the modules. now, that isn't necessary.
