Changing game/system language from English to French (or other languages)

I have a North American Wii U, recently modded with Aroma. I recently changed the system language from English to French.

I remember being able to change the game language before through the System Settings app, but while the system menus are all in French now, the game DKC Tropical Freeze is still in English. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Actually for Aroma there is a game language setting you can change here:

\wiiu\environments\aroma\plugins\config\region_free_plugin.json

Edit with any txt editor the following section:

                "default_cntry_reg_jpn": 1,
                "default_cntry_reg_usa": 18,

                "default_lang_jpn": 0,
                "default_lang_usa": 1,

                "skip_own_region": 1
            },

Note these lines, they refer to the language for respective games regions:

"default_lang_eur": 1,
"default_lang_jpn": 0,
"default_lang_usa": 1,

You need to change the language corresponding to your game region, provided it has the language. No idea the number-language relations though, try and error maybe.

Reboot to take effect.
