I don't. So misanthropist stays.
George Carlin said it best.
If that were true, you wouldn't be here trying to find love on a message board.
I am no longer trying to find love. I found it.
We're going to be very happy together. I am a great hugger. I snore sometimes, though.
Also, side bonus. I can put my legs behind my head. Or yours. Or both. I'm in for some titan_tim.
Buckle up, Buckaroo.
Can't we both be right? Can't deny that I am a misanthrope. I agree with Agent Smith, Randall Flagg and Thanos. I see humanity as the cancer of the planet.
I love George Carlin, and he's right, too. The world WILL recover after we are gone, and it's just a rock with a bunch of living shit on it.
I am just tallying up the score. We ARE the most harmful species to ever exist, and we cause the death and suffering of more OTHER species than just our own than any other form of life in history, with the exceptions of bacteria and virii. Mosquitos, if you're going to move up into higher lifeforms.
The COVID-19 exists to destroy; a harmful virus that threatens the life and well-being of billions of one form of life on this planet. If one cares about that lifeform, then COVID-19 should be destroyed by any means necessary. Or, it should be mitigated as much as possible to prevent it doing any more harm than is the absolute avoidable minimum.
I am just looking at humanity in the same light, across all epochs of human history. The parallels are self-evident.
Misanthropy might just be a more moral point of view than you think, if the REST of the planet's life is what you really care about.
