So, I was suggested the following video from the almighty algorithm:



I thought it was another of many simple parodies of the Sonic downfall. The title was a clearly play on Crush 40, but then I noticed the feat. Johnny Gioeli, and was like "wait, is this for real?". Apparently it is.

For those who don't know, Gioeli is the lead vocalist and guitar player of the 90s rock and metal band Hardline. He later worked on a side project with Jun Senoue called Crush 40 that is mostly known for having created and preformed soundtrack songs for Sonic that shapped the sound of Sonic games from Adventure to Black Knight with further contributions.

So this is a song parodying the Sonic downfall, the disappoinments of the generation who is currently in their 30s (that where in their 10s and teens throughout the said Sonic Generation), and the best part I think, that musical era of a Sonic that was fronted by the very same guy that is singing and playing the guitar here, giving the next level of legit to it all.
