I really hate singing in films, but can't deny Disney have made some genuine animated masterpieces. I forgot Pirates was one of theirs until someone mentioned it earlier.

I know nothing of the Disney Channel because I'm not 12.

Edit: I forgot, I'll like Disney a lot more when they actually get around to properly distributing Beauty and the Beast on DVD. Doing a limited release is just cruel, it's been on my Mum's wishlist for years, come on how long does it take?!

Not a big fan of who Walt Disney actually was and some his beliefs but like Cockroachman says, he revolutionized the animation industry. The movies/shorts that the Disney company makes are incredible, The Jungle Book is one of my top 5 movies.

The older animated movies are pretty good, nowadays it's just a bunch of anthropomorphic animals running around reciting old, worn-out jokes from the internet. Also, I find it kinda disturbing how so many nude/suggestive pictures of their teenage stars are "accidentally" finding their way to the internet.

I have to say that the classics are okay, Walt Disney was a great man, but with the release of The Lion King (which was supposed to be a tribute to Osamu Tezuka's classic anime, Kimba the White Lion, but turned out to be a blatant ripoff because the Disney Corporation never dedicated it) things went downhill.

I believe that the live-action movies that they produce are mediocre at best and that the computer generated animated ones are just plain crap. Even Pixar is going downhill fast...

I also think that anytime any of Disney's little twerps (Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Bros, the cast of High School Musical, etc) open their mouths, Walt Disney rolls over in his cryogenically frozen state.

I like classic 2D animation, and I like the occasional 3D that incorporates the classic style (e.g. the episode of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya where they are playing the computer game, and cel-shaded), other than I don't care for computer generated animation at all.

I don't think the Disney channel is that crap. The shows are mediocre at best. You have to keep in mind this is for kids maybe 13>, max.

Some of the shows are okay or meh.
They are not unbearable enough to make me want to throw a fit like the rest of you.

What i don't like is that most of the time you know what they are going to say to try to be funny. That just kills it, for they would use the same joke a few times in the show.
I like the cartoons currently on though, uh Phineas and Ferb and the Emperor's new School or something. They are original and the jokes are silent, which i like.

I think Hannah Montana is meh. The jokes are over used, and useually it is sub-par, but at some times it can be okay.
The wizard of Waverly or something, its okay also. The main character is funny, she has a nice personality. Some ideas there are very corny though, and some jokes are corny. A few jokes there are unique though, because they do some kinds of magic joke thingys.
What was that other show, uh I think it was...
Zack and Cody something life? Anyways, that show is a bit funny, and very corny. Like half and half. It gets boring before the first commercial break.

Oh yeah, and the Jonas Brothers and hsm, they are maybe a bit sub-par. They are not fucking fags who are gay in every way. That role is savedby the lazy creators who put over-used jokes into the shows. The songs are not terrific, but they do not make my ears bleed either.
They are very pop. And guess who pop songs are aimed at?
You guessed it, 13 year olds and less. My little brother at 9 likes High School Musical. The songs are not bad. He also likes Linkin Park, which is what? A totally different genre. People on this site will generally vote Disney is gay and shit, because you do not like that kind of shows and music. You people like rock, punk and some of you maybe emo, but I'm pretty sure none of you likes very pop music.

And the other shows i actually enjoy(ish) watch are That's so Raven, which was original and quite funny, and the classic animated movies and new pixar movies and the such. They are good things.

Maybe you can take the time to watch one episode of something on Disney Channel leaving behind your bias-ness and maybe, just maybe, you would not break your TV's and come screaming to the internet. Seriously. Its not gay porn you're watching. (unless you're into that kind of thing, in that case, lesbian porn, unless you are into that, then squirrel porn, and don't talk to me about that)

As most people may know, I jokingly say Miley Cyrus is mad hawt. When in fact, she isn't. She's just a plain Jane.

Is this a disney channel thread? the topic didn't say so. I haven't watched the disney channel since I was like ten. There is nothing on it worth watching, I mean I don't check into it I just know it to be fact so I don't bother staying on the channel when flipping through stations.

When I stopped watching disney cartoons, I noticed disney cartoons were way too tame, sappy, and family oriented. The later ones make me gag. There's too much whining in them, almost like watching Full House. I thought they were going to make Mickey Mouse cartoons more cool in the 1990's but Disney lacked content, I don't know how this company survived.

Pixar is good but they follow the Disney ways... I was disappointed in that when I saw Cars. It was too much drudging along story line and not enough racing. The latest Pixar film Wall-E I saw was ok though.
