Hardware Do you have a WiiMote and nunchuk for your Wii U ?

I know the most Wii Us dont come with a WiiMote + Nunchuk.
Did you buy one ?
Did your unit come with one ?

I kept my Wii so I have 4 pair of it. I play MK8 and SSB with wiimote + ninchuck. And few other WiiU games for the matter.

Yeah, I have 3 Wiimotes (plus one 3rd party one I figured would be good enough to play games that just use the buttons) and 2 or 3 nunchuks from my Wii.

I keep my modded Wii next to the Wii U so the Wiimote is always nearby. I still don't know if it's worth upgrading my Wiimote to the plus model.

Good point. I am not sure but maybe Nintendoland had some games that needed the Wiimote?

There are only a few games that require it IIRC, so I just use the dongle.

So far .. everyone has a WiiMote.
The Temp crowd is skewed probably because most people came here during the Wii era, not the WiiU era.

WiiU is still the stupidest console name ever.

My Wii is a launch system from 2006. I of course use my Wii accessories with our Wii U. I still use my Wii for emulators and Netflix.

Bought a Wii U which was bundled with a Wii remote, sensor bar, Just Dance 2015 and Nintendo Land.
Bought a couple more of eBay
+ had some from old Wii remotes from Wii.

If you want a slightly different reply, I can say to you that I never had a Wii and I bought 2 Wiimote + Nunchuk to use with my Wii U.

But the main reason was to play the Wii games that I never had a chance to try , so the only Wii U game in which I eventually use them is SSB (for the Classic Controller).

I have mine from my old Wii so I can play all my Wii games on my Wii U after copying over the save data. It's also nice if the Wii U games support them for multiplayer purposes and I have friends (What are those?) over.
