The nvidia shield tv has 1gb less ram then the switch so not all games would work however i think most indie games would work. botw may also work since it was on the wii u and the wii u had 2gb ram.

would you be able to load the nintendo switch os onto itNot out of the box, if that is what you mean.
The architecture is quite similar (there is probably some different hardware for handling JoyCons, etc., not present / different on the Shield), but the OS is totally different.
You would need at least some kind of complex compatibility layer software in the fashion of Wine.
Nope. Not out of the box.would you be able to load the nintendo switch os onto it
its not similar it has the same processor.Nope. Not out of the box.
It will check for different hardware, it will require different drivers.
The hardware is similar, not the same.
Yes, because of this it is similar. The same a PC and a MAC are similar, the same a PS4 and an XBOX1 are similar.its not similar it has the same processor.
It does not have the same processor. Yes they both have a tegra x1 but the switches tegra x1 has been heavily modified.its not similar it has the same processor.
Running the switch OS on a Nvidia Shield would be kinda like running a hackintosh system I think.its not similar it has the same processor.
The cpu is not the only thing in the system. There is much more hardware at play that makes them incompatible. You can't just push the OS from one to the other. So they are similar because they have the same processor, but the systems are still not the same.its not similar it has the same processor.
No it isn't. The x1 in the switch is completely identical. Do some research. It does not have the same processor. Yes they both have a tegra x1 but the switches tegra x1 has been heavily modified.

You are funny. Yeah.. ABSOLUTELY NO!
You are funny for saying so, I dont see the impossiblitily. Theoretically, it could work by making a hackintosh like solution or creating a comtibility-layer similar to how gamecube games are running on the Wii U.
I dont think you have much insight in technology if you simply say "ABSOLUTELY NO!" without any explanation
That's not correct. Firstly bootcamp loads windows os on Mac hardware. Second, Mac OS only runs on specific PC hardware. Also the hardware PC os run on essentially identical hardware layouts, as in they all have a x86 cpu, and it is connected in similar ways to the other hardware. Switch SoC is not connected to hardware in the same way that the shield TV is. Cross compatibility won't work the same as macOS on PC.The X1 chip in the shield and switch are identical. A mac can run Windows with bootcamp. So it is possible.
The next question is can we emulate Vita games because the X1 is an ARM processor. Not much emulation needed!
You lack a fundamental understanding of both hardware and OSThe X1 chip in the shield and switch are identical. A mac can run Windows with bootcamp. So it is possible.
