GCN Doubutsu no Mori e+ and the Memory Card SD Adapter

I am currently searching for an SD Card Adapter for use with Doubutsu no Mori +/e+, which is this thing here:

However these seem to be pretty damned scarce even on Yahoo Auctions Japan, and all I can really find are the cheap third party ones that are more for use with Homebrew. There is one eBay listing I've found but it has 5 days left on it and I can see it getting pretty expensive.

My question is, will the third party adapters be suitable for use with DnM+/e+? As in, for saving screenshots from the game?

I can't say I've seen it actually tested. But the third party adapters cost as low as $3 USD, little risk to find out.

For those still interested (I sure as hell am!) the GC-forever wiki agrees that the SD Gecko is 100% compatible with the DOL-019 (both are just mechanical adapters)
