Alright, i was going to create a topic and tag @Robz8 but this might do it as well.
i got SudokuHax isntalled and running without any issues, however, im kinda confused on all the bootstrap terms.
SRLoader uses dsiware-bootstrap.nds to boot homebrew when the Y button is pressed.
Actually, bootstrap isn't used at all when Y is pressed.
i assume it uses release-bootstrap.nds when launching a retail game holding the a button.
dsiware-bootstrap.nds is used for retail games, and hb-bootstrap.nds is used for booting homebrew with the A button.
release-bootstrap.nds and unofficial-bootstrap.nds are for 3DS.

Know both of them pretty much.
SnemulDS does nto load, hangs on fat init, which is already reported on the spreadsheet, and GBARunner2, also hangs with both screens black. using SRLoader with Y button, which i think it means using dsi-ndsbootstrap.nds to run them.
Hm. There are several Versions of SnemulDS on this site with different compatibillity. Your best bet should be the SNemulDS 0.6 WIP-02 Version.
GBARunner2 should work with an ARM7 build.
Unfortunately I don´t own an DSI, otherwise i would try this out myself.

What its used when pressing Y? hb-bootstrap? because if i try to run nesDS with the A button, it wonk work, only when launching homebrew with the Y button, that i asume is HB-bootstrap?

What about the homebrew that supposedly works but it just give error on fatinit? O:

i own several DSI XL which i can test the builds of SnemulDS, i tried yesterday the last ones mentioned on i believe it was your post? and they also hang when loading.

Is there a build you can recommend for ARM7? or that at least you think it might work, i got a DSI right here to test it. and pelase specify if it needs to be launched via SRLoader or directly via Boot.nds.

Tried NeoDs, lolSnes, Gbarunner2, [4 builds, including arm7, arm7, and dldi] Gbaemu4ds, SnemulDS [Several builds], all of them using Y button and A button, and it gives me the following inages when they do not hang on white screens or black screen.

For the one that gave a Guru Meditation error, try running it again.
Also, GBARunner2 only works with RocketLauncher.

yup, the one with the error was NeoDs but trowed the fatinit error, the only thing that confuses me is that all the homebrew im teying to run, is stated that works via Bootstrap on the google spreadsheet.

@Robz8 I have to ask why is Flashcart(s) Select and option when there is no way to use flashcart forwarders to my knowledge on that yet? Is it a future feature?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
