Making a post here after being a long time user of your work gotta say I love the progress made since I last posted. However, I've been curious about a childhood game I used to play Surf's Up and noticed it was still in the testing queue. Is there a line for those games or is there anyway for me to get them working? I would play on an emulator but the original controls are so much better for touchscreen oriented games such as this one. If there is a way to get this game working as well as others in that list please let me know. Although I understand if not.
Just launch the game. If it doesn't run, try turning off heap shrink.

I had to turn off heap shrink. Not sure what it does but turning it off fixed the white screen issue I would run into before.
Thank you! That's the info I needed, so that TWLMenu++ can automatically turn off heap shrink for that game in the next version.

It may need some more fixing in the future. The loading is quite slow. The gameplay is really good and playable but black screens come up between character select and map select. Although no complaints here its more then manageable. Just quality of life fixes is all it would need to make loading times more reasonable. Glad I could help!!

  1. Insert the DS Memory Expansion Pak.
  2. You can't use cheats on flashcards.
  3. The original kernel is better, provided your flashcard is compatible.
Thank you for the early answer, when i try to use the original firmware it says: akmenu4.nds not found. I'am using the file with the autoboot and boots with no problem and i can play with b4ds (Saving takes longer than habitual)

DSiWare does not work on orignal DS consoles.

By this, he means that the game that you get that error with is likely treated as DSiWare. Posting this to clarify, as @Robz8 's response was quite ambiguous.

Hey, thanks for the work on Twilight Menu! Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I have it installed okay and have the gba bios in. Fifa 05 works perfectly but I have also tried Fifa 07, Alex Rider - Stormbreaker and Medal of Honor - Underground and they all fail when I press a button. Screen freezes and weird glitch noises happen. Any ideas? Thanks

If you're using a DSi, is Unlaunch installed?

I've been trying for 2 hours to make Zelda Spirit Tracks work with this loader... I want to play the D-pad patched version but I always get a white screen upon boot.

I tried the trimmed rom... the clean rom... I tried applying the patch myself... I think the problem is the AP patch + Dpad patch don't work well togheter.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
