OK, so I got out of the Army in 2008, and I just got a M-65 Field Jacket due to getting tired of the crap Jackets at Stores. Field Liner stitching is coming lose, but not that bad. But I am curious, since it has been YEARS since I last dealt with a Field Jacket..........

I know the Nametape and U.S. Army go on top of the Pockets, and Combat Unit Patch (Deployment) goes on the Sleeve top, CAB goes above U.S. ARMY Nametape, however, I am curious about my Rank : Lapels, or Sleeve?

I tried looking for a old 670-1, but just came up with the current Release, and my old 2005 Release does not really go into it.

I've got one of these it's a great jacket had it years it's my go-to wild camping jacket, could never understand why the seam around the bottom is not sewed up though I can push my hand up though the different layers ?.
Also, the Lapels have a Button Hole, but no idea why. Also thinking of having Pockets Sewn into the Inside.
