The hdd does not appear when it's hidden by ustealth. You have to ask the author to include wiixplorer to works with ustealth. Btw, the hdd is not detected by any app when two usb devices are connected to Wii u, even it´s not hidden by ustealth.does that work with ustealth? I can't seem to get wiixplorer to read my usb hdd with or without ustealth.
Thanks!here's wiixplorer compatible with ustealth. I uploaded it to my mediafire account:

Thanks!
One hand washes the other!yw. it wasn't compiled by me. I just found it while I was looking for a solution to the usb hdd not being detected problem to which u told me about the two hdds thing. thanks for that.

No, the typical reason is because you can NOT have two USB drives plugged in at the same time, and there are a lot of people that actually have a USB with games installed on them, and you can't just unplug it and plug another one in. Also, when you plug in a FAT32 USB drive, the system will ask to format it. It's because of this Wii U built-in limitation that hardly any homebrew has USB support and instead uses the much, much easier SD card for non-Wii U files. This thread got me thinking.... the typical reason why none of the backup loaders or installers don't use USB is because they haven't found time to implement USB FAT32 support like wuddump has done. I'm wondering why those same tools can't use the Wii U native format. It's easier for some people to plunk down installer files to Wii U USB over FTP Everywhere then it is use SD cards. Would be nice and would be relatively easy I reckon. Especially since WUP Installer already is mounting the Wii U USB device to install/copy games to. It should just look for a INSTALL directory on the root of that same device and allow you to select it as a source.
Just saying...

When an app is installed, it uses the special files made for installing, so you have to have the correct installation files, but let's say you install an app that is 10GB in size, you would actually need 20GB free, because if you bypassed the SD card and instead put the files on the NAND, the installation files would take up 10GB, and then you would need another 10GB to install that title. Putting the install files on the SD card is the best way to install titles. An option to automatically delete the files from the SD card after you install them is ok to add though, but just hasn't been done, because you have to go back to your PC to get the files anyway, because you create the install files on the PC anyway, and transferring the files by FTP to the SD card takes way longer than just copying them over to SD card on the PC.what would actually be handy is disc2installedapp. combine disc2app and wupinstaller.
currently we have to dump to sdcard, then install to hard drive (2 separate apps) then delete from sdcard using ftp to make space for more games.
so it would be nice to either skip the sdcard completely (like hdloader on ps2 did) or automate the install and delete after. frm what i can make out of wupinstalle rthe latter seems easier.
Yes, even if you do that. When I dumped my games, I still had to transfer the dump files to the PC and create installation files out of them. You can't just dump directly to the NAND and have it installed, it must be installed with the system installer, and wup installer uses that. There are more files that must be changed and updated when the title is installed, but some people are under this false illusion that you can just transfer the files to the NAND and it's magically installed, that isn't the case.not if you are dumping from legally owned disc, which is what you are supposed to do.
