While I totally agree with you guys, we have to try to remember that Nintendo never meant for us to be able to do
any of the stuff that gets discussed in these forums every day, even after almost a decade. So 5 - 6 years of hacking their code and mostly getting away with it is pretty nice IMHO (don't know exactly when the first boot exploits actually became publicly available, but yeah probably about that long ago).
@godreborn, if you could please find out what exactly Laf111 did to fix his issue, that would hopefully point me in the right direction. But without a hint about where to look, searching the fairly large code base for potential issues could take days, if not weeks without a proper debugger (and no machine powerful enough to run Cemu + debugger anyway).
