Hi there, Something I was wondering about considering the necessity almost for the wii u and alot of titles use of the gamepad, I was wondering if it was possible to modify the gamepad to use a different battery or change out the cells in the battery casing etc.
Since over time the official batteries are becoming harder to find.

That's a damn good question. Maybe we should start reviewing 3rd party batteries?
The only way to get a new OEM battery seems to be to buy a new gamepad from Nintendo. Of course that's way to expensive. Also I guess you're like me, wanting the 2550mAh OEM battery?

From my limitted knowledge I would say:
  • All 3rd part 3600 mAh batteries are false advertising: If Nintendos maxed out battery is 2550mAh it seems extremely unliekely that cheap, half-assed manufacturers are able to archive +1050mAh.
  • Most 3rd party batteries are garbage
I know that wasn't very helpful but maybe others are able to build up on this? Also it's a free bump and nobody is able to punish you for it. ;)

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
